THE STORY BEHIND LE MANS

Le Mans, France hosts one of the oldest and most exhilarating motorsports events and endurance-based sports car races. Unlike fixed-distance races whose winner is determined by minimum time, the race is won by the car that covers the greatest distance in 24 hours. THE STORY BEHIND SUZUKA

Located in Suzuka City, Japan, surrounded by rice fields, is one of the world’s most demanding and rewarding motor racing race tracks. THE STORY BEHIND MONZA

This historic racetrack located in Monza Italy is one of the fastest F1 circuits. Set on the grounds of the largest city park in Europe, Monza has a special home in the hearts of F1 fans. The circuit is a unique mix of long straights and slow chicanes. The low downforce circuit puts strain on engines, which are on full power for 80% of the lap, and gearboxes, which are used heavily in the chicanes. Although it has been modified after claiming many lives, it is still heavily criticized for its lack of run-off areas and notorious chicanes.

THE STORY BEHIND GREEN HELL

The Green Hell, a famous nickname for Nürburgring, is a 150,000-person capacity motorsports complex located in the town of Nürburg, Germany. THE STORY BEHIND HOCKENHEIM 

This German Formula 1 track has been a key factor in the technological development of the sport. One incident in 1994 caused an F1 car (B194) to catch flames during a pit stop while a team member refueled the car. The flames engulfed the car while the driver was still in it. Although the flames lasted for about 3 seconds, the team and driver received minor injuries. This incident caused an investigation that later found a missing filter in the hose used to refuel the car. The team was advised to remove it to save precious seconds during pit stop times. This is one of the major reasons why F1 cars today only refuel at the begging of the race only and prevent this to happen again.

The Story Behind Sonoma

Sonoma is located at Sears Point in the southern mountains of northern California, famous for its vineyards and the Sonoma Raceway. The Sonoma Raceway road course features 12 turns on a hilly course with 160 feet (49 m) of total elevation change. It hosts one of the seven NASCAR Cup Series races.
